The Earth is a bountiful garden, and yet so many of us are prevented from moving out of survival mode long enough to savour a single drop of the nectar of life.
From chaos, like many other creators, I rise in peace to do my part for the better world we all dream of for our children, our grand-children and so on for the next thirty three thousand years, at least.
My mission is to create hummingbird and pollinator havens and food sanctuaries for humans throughout the Americas and to remind those who have forgotten that we are one with the natural world. My art is rooted in love and blooms joyfully to attract those who resonate with this vision and want to be part of the solution.
Since 2005 the forest has been my home and my teacher. I have been on a self-directed art residency in the Laurentian Mountains, observing indigenous plants and pollinators as living studies for my work. Each piece I create is a fragment of the sanctuary I am building for the hummingbirds, for the land, and for the humans who have forgotten they belong to it
I'm currently preparing for a large-scale mural depicting native plants and pollinators scheduled for 2027 in Quebec. I will be sharing my process on my socials over the next 6 months. I'd love for you follow my creative journey!
In the coming years I plan to follow the migratory ruby-throated hummingbird across the Americas, through art residencies, connecting with people who are already creating food sanctuaries and whose stories need to be told. I also want to discover the non-migratory hummingbird species of the south and sit with those who are close to the land. I seek the stories of life on earth told by the people who still remember our roots.
